Community impact
Our registered charitable activity is straightforward: we raise funds among our congregation and the wider district, and we give them away locally. Below is what that looks like in practice, and how the money is handled.
Households referred to us by neighbours, schools or our own members can receive a grocery hamper or a fuel voucher during a hard month. Requests are handled discreetly by two members of the leadership team, with no questionnaire and no requirement to attend church.
Our Friday youth group and school-holiday activity mornings run at no cost to families. In a regional town with limited paid options, keeping these free is a deliberate decision funded by congregational giving.
Transport to our monthly seniors' morning, home visits, and help with small practical tasks. Several of our regulars live alone; a lift and a cup of tea is the whole service, and it matters.
Funerals, hospital visits and confidential conversation, offered to anyone in the South Burnett who asks. Our pastoral team does not charge for this work.
The church hall on Knight Street is made available at no or minimal cost to community groups, memorial gatherings and family functions when it is not in use by the church.
Working bees, catered fundraising meals and special appeals through the year, each with a named local purpose announced to the congregation before the appeal opens.
As a small registered charity we keep our finances simple and open to our members.
No profit distribution
We are a not-for-profit organisation. No surplus is distributed to any member, officer or third party — it stays in the church's charitable work.
Counted by two people
Offerings are counted and recorded by two unrelated volunteers and banked to the church's own account.
Reported to members
Annual accounts are presented to a general meeting of members, who approve the following year's budget.

We lodge the reporting required of a registered charity. Our financial year ends 31 October; our most recent report was lodged 13 May 2026.
